Biography Vanessa Lio is a heritage consultant and museum professional specializing in historical property research, heritage planning, and archival analysis. She is the founder of LIO Research and Archives Services and most recently worked as a Heritage Specialist for the City of Vaughan, where she prepared designation research, advised on development applications, and supported heritage policy and evaluation under the Ontario Heritage Act. Currently, Vanessa is the Secretary for the Board of Directors of the Ontario Association of Heritage Professionals. With over 15 years of experience in municipal heritage, museums, and archives, Vanessa brings a research-driven, policy-informed approach to heritage consulting, genealogy, and cultural heritage projects across Ontario.
