Biography Tara Jenkins holds a Master’s Degree in Anthropology and a Graduate Professional Certificate in Cultural Heritage Studies- Heritage Planning Option. She has 24 years of experience working in cultural resource management (CRM) as a Professional Archaeologist and is a member of the Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals (CAHP). In addition, she has gained practical experience as a Cultural Heritage Specialist and has been the acting Lead and Project Manager for AECOM on various projects including Cultural Heritage Evaluation Reports, Heritage Impact Assessments, and Cultural Heritage Resource Assessments. In her role as a Project Manager, Tara provides specialized advice and expertise to clients and stakeholders on heritage matters. Tara has published articles and chapters in peer-reviewed and other recognized journals and books. She has taught at the university level in lecture and has been a guest speaker for academic conferences. In 2022, her team at AECOM was awarded the Architectural Conservancy of Ontario (ACO) Peter Stokes Restoration Award: Small-Scale/Individual/Small Business for the rehabilitation of the historically significant bridge. Recently, she completed the Fall 2022 Heritage Planning for Practitioners course at Algonquin College in Perth.
