Resumé

Biography Rebecca Sciarra is academically trained in the fields of heritage conservation principles and practices, political science, and cultural geography. Professional experience in cultural heritage conservation includes a successful record of managing a diverse range of cultural heritage studies required under the Ontario Heritage Act, Ontario Environmental Assessment Act, Canadian Environmental Assessment Act, Environmental Protection Act, and the Planning Act for both private and public sector clients. Areas of expertise include: inventory and evaluation of cultural heritage resources in urban and rural settings; bridge evaluations and documentations; visual impact assessments; design and facilitation of public and stakeholder consultation programs; cultural heritage landscape assessments; and Official Plan and secondary planning policy development. Additional cultural heritage experience includes implementation and application of heritage conservation policy frameworks and execution of outreach strategies at the local level to promote stewardship of cultural heritage resources.
