Resumé

Biography Pourya Nazemi is a Heritage Planner at the City of Toronto where he leads Heritage Conservation District studies and Cultural Heritage Resource Assessments in conjunction with area studies (Planning Studies). He is also responsible for the City's Heritage Property Tax Rebate Program. He has experience working with Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) as an Assistant Planner where he assisted in the oversight of the renovation and the adaptive re-use of TRCA's heritage properties and revitalization of campsites across GTA, and as an Assistant Heritage Planner in Department of Planning and Design (PDTA) at Sapienza University of Rome, Italy. Pourya has a diverse heritage planning background in both private and public sectors. He has worked on a wide range of projects and planning studies in different contexts including Iran, Italy and Canada. Pourya holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Tehran and a P.h.D. in Urban Conservation from the Sapienza University of Rome.
