Biography Michael is an architect specializing in heritage buildings. His work is focused on the rehabilitation of historic building envelopes to the highest standards of conservation and performance using traditional materials, along with interior renovation and conservation in a heritage context. Since 2015 he has been the principal of Michael Scott Architect Inc. in Toronto, where his work has spanned a range of project scales, from major institutional buildings such as the Ontario Legislature and Knox College at the University of Toronto, through to the restoration of heritage homes. Memorable projects over the course of his career have included work on some of Canada’s most iconic buildings, including Toronto City Hall, the original head office of the Bank of Nova Scotia in Halifax, and the Manitoba Legislature.
