Biography Matthew Francis is a creative heritage leader in Canada. As a Manager with the Government of Alberta, Matthew built and led the Municipal Heritage Partnership Program, empowering people to conserve places that matter. He facilitated over one hundred heritage planning projects with diverse local and Indigenous governments. As an Executive Director in the museums sector, Matthew fostered change and organizational strength, while renewing a National Historic Site of Canada. Having established Synaxis Associates in 2018, Matthew co-creates implementation-focused solutions, integrating heritage values into the fabric of healthy communities.
