Biography Liz McFarland, BA Arch, MA PHD Candidate, is an architectural historian. She currently works on the Heritage Planning, Policy & Research team within Toronto's City Planning division. In her role as a Heritage Planner, Liz researches, evaluates and documents the cultural heritage value of resources, and authors listing and designation staff reports to Council containing recommendation for conservation. She participated in initiating the city-wide Toronto Heritage Survey and undertakes heritage assessments and inventories for planning studies, including as the City's Heritage Lead on the Exhibition Place Cultural Heritage Landscape Assessment and Toronto Island Master Plan Study.
