Resumé

Biography I am a Heritage Project Specialist with the City of Hamilton, where I oversee capital projects for 39 heritage buildings across the city. I hold a degree in Business Administration from Lakehead University and a certificate in Heritage Retrofit Carpentry from Holland College. I spent several years working as a carpenter on various heritage sites across the GTHA, gaining hands-on experience and developing a deep understanding of the nuances of historical preservation and restoration. This practical experience paved the way for my transition into project management, where I worked with a heritage general contractor. In that role, I coordinated and oversaw the restoration and preservation of historically significant buildings, ensuring projects met both modern standards and heritage preservation best practices. In my current role with the City of Hamilton, I balance maintaining the integrity of historical structures with necessary infrastructure improvements. I bring both technical expertise and project management skills to my work, and I’m committed to preserving Hamilton’s architectural heritage for future generations. My background in business and carpentry enables me to approach heritage conservation with a well-rounded perspective, focused on thoughtful and effective preservation practices.
