Elana Zysblat

Biography Formerly the Programming Director for the Vancouver Heritage Foundation, Elana Zysblat is an accomplished heritage consultant and educational program developer with expertise in heritage conservation, cultural tourism and community engagement.  Since 2012, Elana’s practice as an independent heritage consultant has reached all areas of BC. Her award-winning firm - Ance Building Services - provides heritage conservation consulting services including, but not limited to - Statements of Significance, Heritage Conservation Plans, Heritage Assessments, Condition Assessments and heritage development consulting, and well as Heritage Resource Management for Local Governments - Heritage Strategic Plans, Heritage Management Plans, Historic Context Statements, Thematic Frameworks, Community Heritage Registers and public communication strategies. She also provides support, education, training and workshops for local governments including indigenous communities and heritage commissions. Elana is Past President of the BC Chapter of the Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals, past Vice President of the National CAHP board, a Co-Chair of the CAHP Membership Committee, a member of the CAHP Advocacy Committee, and is a Director on the Friends of the Vancouver City Archives board.
