Biography Darryl has over 30 years’ experience in a broad range of heritage conservation initiatives from managing major restoration projects, to creating and implementing municipal heritage conservation programs, to setting up and implementing building conservation grant programs. He has decades of experience securing regulatory approvals at the municipal, provincial and national level and has worked with clients to apply the Standards and Guidelines for the Conservation of Historic Places in Canada on residential, commercial, industrial and institutional buildings. More recently, he established and managed the City of Calgary Historic Building Program to oversee 30 City-owned historic buildings. Working closely with-building owners and stewards, architects, engineers, planners, senior managers and politicians. Darryl has sponsored multi-million dollar rehabilitation projects, supervising project managers and contractors. He has been recognized nationally by the National Trust for Canada and the Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals for his work and served on the boards of ICOMOS Canada and the historic Lougheed House Conservation Society.
