Biography Dan has over twenty years of design, building, and project management experience. He has worked as a carpenter, general contractor, developer, and senior project architect on projects ranging from $500 to $5,000,000. In 2001 Dan completed his bachelors level thesis in architecture at the University of Toronto after many years of part time studies in architecture. His experience on the public and private sides of architectural heritage issues provides clients with expertise in feasibility studies (how much?) analysis of existing structures (how does the building perform today?) and interpretation of architectural heritage. He also fancies himself a designer. Heritage Trust, and Oakville's Local Architectural Conservation Advisory Committee (LACAC). Dan served as a CAHP representative in discussions resulting in the new Ontario Heritage Act, 2005. Current work involves Heritage Evaluation Studies (is this heritage and why?), Heritage Impact Assessments (how will proposed work affect an existing property), and Peer Reviews. Dan serves as an expert witness for municipalities appearing before the Conservation Review Board. As an historic buildings specialist he also provides municipalities with design input during the review stages of heritage related proposals.
