Biography As an architect and PhD student, Ms. Ureche-Trifu has helped train several generations of students in the basics of architectural conservation. Actively involved in practice, she has worked on a large number of conservation projects in Ottawa and on the East Coast, and has significant experience in building condition assessments, preparation of feasibility study and heritage assessments, as well as full-length conservation projects, with a special focus on heritage masonry. Her research interests range from craftsmanship and materials conservation to studying the intersection between conservation and the construction industry.
