The Prairies and Northwest Territories Association of Heritage Professionals (Prairies-AHP), established in 2024, is a chapter of the national Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals (CAHP) for the Prairie provinces and the Northwest Territories.
PAHP includes members representing many areas of expertise from architects to planners and historians to engineers and trades/artisan specialists who are professionally and actively engaged in the identification, conservation, preservation, interpretation and sustainable use of cultural and natural heritage in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and across the Northwest Territories.
The chapter is:
- a venue for dialogue between heritage professionals and heritage community members
- create opportunities for provincial leadership, continuing education and community outreach
- and, support a network for professional advice and social interaction among the members of the Western and Northern heritage communities.
