Tatum Taylor Chaubal is a writer and heritage planner with a M.Sc. in Historic Preservation from Columbia University, and a B.A. (Honours) in English/creative writing from Randolph-Macon Woman's College. She specializes in historical research, cultural heritage evaluation, and heritage interpretation. Reflecting her interest in values-based conservation and the cultural landscape idea, she pursues a holistic approach to conserving buildings, landscapes, and cultural practices that is integrated with considerations urban and social sustainability. In addition to her planning work, she has co-edited three anthologies for Coach House Books on the heritage of under-documented communities in Toronto.
