For the past five years, Robertson Martin Architects (RMA) has held a standing offer position with the National Capital Commission under the category of heritage conservation. This position was renewed for an additional 3 years in 2005 due to technical expertise offered and high client satisfaction. The majority of the firms work is based on the conservation, restoration and rehabilitation of historical buildings or sites within the Eastern Ontario region. Team members participate in the following heritage professional organizations: Local Architectural Conservation Advisory Committee (LACAC); The firm has participated in reviews and submissions to help advise the public and council on matters dealing with the protection and alteration of historically and architecturally significant buildings and properties; Association for Preservation Technology (APT); Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC); International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS); Canadian Association of Professional Heritage Consultants (CAPHC); Society of Architectural Historians (SAH). The firm has been the recipient of numerous Heritage Conservation Awards.
