Philip specializes in the roofing and sheet metal restoration of heritage buildings with natural slate, clay roof tiles, cedar, copper, lead, zinc and galvanized steel. Philip has provided both consulting and construction services on numerous National Historic Sites in Canada including; Laurier House, Ottawa; Fortress Louisbourg, Nova Scotia; Parkwood, Oshawa; Dundurn Castle and The Military Museum, Hamilton; Old Fort York, Toronto, Wolseley Barracks C.F.B. London; Castle Kilbride, Baden and St. Annes Anglican Church, Toronto. Philip specializes in the traditional and historic roofing materials of natural slate, clay roof tiles, cedar and all types of sheet metalwork and decorative metal cladding. During a period in construction spanning more than 20 years, he has been involved in numerous major roof restoration projects in Canada including; Lincoln County Courthouse, St. Catharines, St. Josephs Catholic Church, Chatham, and The Chambers, Ottawa. He now serves as a specialist Roof Consultant and also provides presentations and seminars on Historic Roofing.
