Peter Simister is a founding partner of CSV Architects. With 36 years experience, he has been the Architect and Team Leader for heritage and sustainable design projects. Peter be lieves that the preservation and restoration of heritage buildings is an important aspect of historical and cultu ral memory, and that retaining and finding new uses for historic buildings helps to build strong communities. As a LEED accredited professional, he has a par ticular interest in combining herifage restoration with sustainable design. Peter's heritage services include building assessment, feasibility studies, design, contract documents and contract administration. Peter has wor ked on projects including the Ottawa ElectriC Railway Company Steam Plant, and the Bronson Company Office for the National Capital Commission, Birkett House for the Embassy of Hungary, the Homewood Museum for the Ontario Her itage Foundation, numerous projects on the Central Experimental Farm for Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. Pinhey's Point Historic Site for the City of Ottawa. and the Rideau Hall Security Kiosks for the RCMP. Peter's heritage work has been recognized by two Ottawa Architectural Conservation Awards.
