Megan has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from the University of Alberta and a Master of Arts degree in Community and Regional Planning from the University of British Columbia. Megan has worked in the heritage field in both Edmonton and Vancouver and has studied various aspects of heritage and urban planning including modern historic structures, social and community development, international development, and the physical conservation of heritage buildings. In 2007, she participated in a community development project in Naga City, Philippines. Her Masters project focused on the creation of a heritage evaluation system for the University of British Columbia. Through her travels and studies, Megan has developed a passion for architecture, history, heritage structures, and historic landscapes. Since beginning with Donald Luxton & Associates Inc. in 2009, Megan has worked on a variety of different projects including municipal heritage inventories and surveys, writing Statements of Significance, conservation plans, context statements and thematic frameworks, and the assessment and analysis of individual sites across the Lower Mainland.
