Experience

Kayla has extensive experience evaluating cultural heritage resources for private and public sector clients to fulfill the requirements of the Environmental Assessment Act, the Standards & Guidelines for the Conservation of Provincial Heritage Properties and municipal Official Plans. She served as Team Lead on the MTCS Historic Places Initiative which drafted over 850 Statements of Significance and for Heritage Districts Works, a study of 64 heritage districts. Kayla was an editor of Arch, Truss and Beam: The Grand River Watershed Heritage Bridge Inventory and has worked on Municipal Heritage Registers in several municipalities.
