Dr. Pollock's experience as an archaeologist/anthropologist and heritage resource consultant/planner includes positions with the Governments of Ontario and Alberta. As an independent consultant for the past twenty-one years, he has undertaken studies for major engineering firms, mining and land development companies, the Ontario Ministry of Transportation and the Ministry of Natural Resources as well as many First Nations communities in Ontario. To date, over 500 Heritage Resources Assessment Reports have been conducted. Dr. Pollock has worked on many regional tourism studies including the Timiskaming Tourism Development Strategy Study, 1990; the Town of Latchford's Heritage Logging Attraction and the Ontario Loggers Hall of Fame (a recommendation from our earlier study in 1989). He wrote the script for a tourism video called ┬┤Abitibi Country' and made many tourism related development comments in reports to MNR parks and other clients, such as The Lake Abitibi Model Forest.
