James Bailey's architectural practice assists institutional clients (including churches, library boards, municipalities) in the maintenance, preservation and effective utilization of buildings. Past work includes condition assessments, restoration and utilization master plans, the design/tendering/project management of building repairs, building code upgrades, adaptive reuse projects and architecturally sympathetic additions. During a six year period working as the Design Coordinator for the construction of the Canadian Museum of Civilization (Hull, Quebec), James Bailey became conversant with the specific requirements of museum environments. James Bailey offers a full range of architectural services from conceptual design to project management, has undertaken feasibility studies related to the development and improvement of exhibition space.
