Experience

Experienced researcher and writer of corporate, community, marine and military history. Works include: A Manner Less Rigid (history of the Ontario Municipal Board, 1997), On Leaving Bai DiCheng (China's Yangze Gorges, 1993), Oak Ridges Moraine Report (1992), Great Lakes Ships (199192), To Mark Our Place: History of Canadian War Memorials (1987). Robert has a Ph.D., teaches planning at Waterloo and is a Member of the CIP. He has conducted research in the UK and Canada, and has appeared as an expert witness in court and before the OMB. Projects: Evaluation of the Townscape Heritage Initiative in the UK (1999 to 2001 for the Heritage Lottery Foundation), Property Values of Heritage Buildings (Ontario Ministry of Culture), Vision for Huron Natural Area (Kitchener, 1995).
