Archaeological Research Associates Ltd.
I have been a field archaeologist since 1964 beginning with work on the Canadian Shield in northern Wisconsin. In 1968 I directed a field project on Christian Island, Ontario with the University of Toronto. My dissertation research was concentrated on the Montral River near Cobalt, Ontario focusing on the Shield Archaic. In 1972 Peter Ramsden and I formed Archaeological Research Associates Ltd. to complete work in the CRM field. In 1976 I accepted a position to teach anthropology and archaeology at Wilfrid Laurier. My PhD in anthropology was completed in 1977. I have taught an archaeological field school since 1975 in Orillia Ontario. I continue to teach archaeology at Laurier and am still principal in Archaeological Research Associates Ltd.
