Brian Arnott is the President of Novita, a cultural facility consulting company, and is a founding member of CAPHC. For the past 33 years, Mr. Arnott has been actively involved in many areas of heritage conservation and policy making. Mr. Arnott is the author of several monographs on subjects of Canadian industrial history; he has produced documentary films on heritage subjects; he has played a leading role in the restoration and rehabilitation of heritage buildings including those having provincial and federal heritage designation and he has developed marketing and business plans for heritage attractions and destinations. Under Mr. Arnott's direction, Novita has completed over 500 planning and development studies for arts, cultural and heritage clients. Mr. Arnott is a graduate of Bishop's University (BA) and the University of Alberta (MFA.) Mr. Arnott has served as a Director of several cultural organizations and is the past Chair of the Board of Factory Theatre. Mr. Arnott has also served as a Director of other organizations including the Social Planning Council of Metropolitan Toronto.
