Allan Killin practices architecture in Toronto. Over 26-years of building, ten with Goldsmith Borgal & Company Ltd Architects, Allan has served as project architect on award-winning urban, adaptive reuse, and restoration projects, 8 National Historic Sites, with significant work on documents and construction. He has authored numerous studies and reports on building envelope and restoration, including a 2008 paper on traditional masonry pointing. A member of various professional organizations, including ICOMOS, INTBAU, CaGBC, OBEC, TSA, OAA, and RAIC, he maintains a keen interest in education, community and architectural sustainability, and traditional building. In 2003 Allan was awarded the Queens Jubilee Medal for community service. He graduated from University of Toronto in 1984, receiving honours for design, and returning later as guest critic.
