Jean-Michel is a licensed Professional Engineer in both Ontario and Quebec. Jean-Michel has been with Adjeleian Allen Rubeli Limited since 2003 and has been principal with the company since 2017. Jean-Michel’s work includes structural investigation, evaluation, restoration and renovation of existing structures. Jean-Michel’s experience with existing structures was a natural progression to the field of heritage structural engineering, having recently worked on heritage projects such as 180 Wellington, the Aberdeen Pavilion at Lansdowne Park, the Horticulture Building at Lansdowne Park, F.A.C.E, Petit Pouvoir, Rideau Hall as well as the West Memorial Building.

Michael is an architect specializing in heritage buildings. His work is focused on the rehabilitation of historic building envelopes to the highest standards of conservation and performance using traditional materials, along with interior renovation and conservation in a heritage context. Since 2015 he has been the principal of Michael Scott Architect Inc. in Toronto, where his work has spanned a range of project scales, from major institutional buildings such as the Ontario Legislature and Knox College at the University of Toronto, through to the restoration of heritage homes. Memorable projects over the course of his career have included work on some of Canada’s most iconic buildings, including Toronto City Hall, the original head office of the Bank of Nova Scotia in Halifax, and the Manitoba Legislature.

Secretary: James Neilson

James Neilson is a heritage planner at the City of St. Catharines. James has a decade of experience in the public and private sector, including positions with the Ministry of Tourism, Town of Oakville, the City of Toronto, ERA Architects and ASI. James has a Masters of Environmental Studies (Planning) from York University and a Bachelors Degree in Politics from Trent University.

Brad has been a structural engineering consultant for over 12 years and has developed a keen interest in heritage conservation. Throughout that time he has been involved with the Claybank Brick Plant National Historic Site as structural consultant, but also as a volunteer with the Saskatchewan Heritage Foundation and the Claybank Historical Society. Brad has been involved on many award-winning heritage projects including the restoration of the Saskatchewan Legislative Building Dome, the Manitoba Legislative Building Rotunda, and the restoration of Darke Hall in Regina. Brad has a Master of Business Administration from Lakehead University and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois.

Ms. Uchiyama M.A has more than a decade of experience providing archaeological and cultural heritage planning advice and expertise to a variety of municipal, provincial, federal and private industry clients across Ontario. Her specialties include: archaeological investigations; cultural heritage evaluation under O.Reg.9 /06 and 1 0/06; and heritage impact assessments. She has extensive experience in research, identification, evaluation and inventory of archaeological resources, properties, buildings and cultural landscapes. Ms. Uchiyama has an active and compliant Professional Licence to Conduct Archaeological Fieldwork in the Province of Ontario (P376).
