Dr. Jenny Botica

Principal, Archaeologist, Kleanza Consulting Ltd.

Jenny is an applied anthropologist and archaeologist, who has worked with and for Indigenous groups throughout BC, the Northwest Territories, Arizona, Belize, and Jordan. She is co-owner of Kleanza Consulting Ltd., a full-suite heritage and archaeology firm, with four offices in BC. In addition to more than 15 years as a field archaeologist, for four years Jenny was a historian and analyst on behalf of residential school survivors, as part of the Indian Residential School Settlement Agreement and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. She is an active heritage educator and speaker, and has taught for colleges and universities in North America and internationally. Currently based out of Bowser on Vancouver Island with her husband and two young boys, Jenny’s passions lie in community engagement, heritage training, capacity building, and policy.
