Jim Stiven has been involved in the British Columbia heritage community for over 35 years. He started Vintage Woodworks Inc. in 1980; a heritage restoration manufacturing company. He has been actively involved in restorations of residential, commercial and institutional buildings. Jim has sat on the city of Victoria Heritage advisory Panel, the city of Victoria Advisory Design Panel, The Heritage Legacy Fund, the board of directors of the Hallmark Heritage Society. He has received awards from the Hallmark Society for residential restoration, from the City of Vancouver for institutional restoration, from Heritage BC for years of service, and recently a Lifetime Achievement Award in heritage from the City of Vancouver.
