2016 Lifetime Achievement Award

André Scheinman

Andre is a highly conscientious professional, with an unfailing commitment to the cause of heritage preservation. His personable approach enables him to support the preservation of heritage structures and landscapes with integrity and an open style of communication that ensures that all stakeholders from building owners to tradespeople are working towards the same high-quality conservation goals.

Not only has Andre contributed extensively to the heritage fabric in Canada over the last 30 years, his generous involvement at the organizational and institutional level is also significant. He was a founding member of what is now CAHP, is a long-standing member of both APT and ICOMOS and is a faculty associate at Willowbank School of Restorative Arts. He continues to practice, primarily in Kingston, on a number of nationally, provincially and municipally significant properties.
