An Act to create tax incentives for the rehabilitation of Historic Property – passed second reading and it will continue to Committee!

Thanks to the efforts and the letters written by many heritage supporters, MPs voted in the House of Commons on March 23, 2017 to send Bill C-323 to the Standing Committee on Environment and Sustainable Development.

This is an important step in making tax incentives a reality.

Bill C-323 – An Act to Amend the Income Tax Act (Rehabilitation of Historic Property) – proposes to create tax credits for the rehabilitation of historic places.
